Just came across this, a photographer was arrested for taking photos of street art, after a long legal battle his charges were dropped and he was set free!

I have long been a fan of Mister JH;)

It is PJ. Personals aside, I think you did well with what you had to work with, that is night lighting....

Can't knock a person who gets out in the wee hours and grabs his gear to show folks what happens while we are sleeping.lol.;)

Keep at it JH.....just stay clean:cool:

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

JH, thanks for documenting this activity that I knew nothing about. It's very interesting to me that some of these guys are making a nice living at their art. Not something that has necessarily ever been easy to do for any sort of artists. I suppose it is Urban Marketing as much as Urban Art.

Hope to see you post some more of this stuff.

POTN destroyed the links, and this is relevant because of the huge discussion on if me photographing this was illegal or not:rolleyes:

Id much prefer to see this wheat pasting over spray painting.

I like what I've seen Jimmy. Keep it up.

He's not doing anything to prevent or stop it either. What if they were cooking meth, I guess it would still be ok to document it...

Um... Ever seen "Intervention"?

They go around documenting people doing all types of illegal drugs and activities and do nothing to stop them.

And that's just one show. There are a lot of other shows and documentaries that enter into the lives of individuals doing very illegal things.

I think this is some great work. Don't worry about the people complaining, it's pretty ironic photographers are complaining about other people's artwork.

No no, he's involved in hard-core spray painting as well. Sorry he didn't mention that.

Photographing a crime does not make you a criminal. If you think it should, then you should probably move to some place like China.

Let's see, no such thing as freedom of speech and the fact that the government wants to sensor everything that's not in line with their views.

Yeah they do have a lot of cameras as their sensor.

They censor the internet and news. Google had a run in with them, and it was on the news here.

Awesome set Jimmy. Alec is an amazing artist. If people want to know more about his art, check out the vid on Vimby about him. Amazing stuff.

Whether or not you can appreciate street art, if you look at some of the work these guys do with wheat paste or even with cans it's amazing. I just wish there was a good outlet for them to showcase their work without having to worry about, falling from a harness into freeway traffic, or falling off the side of a building. I guess, to them the risk might be part of it. Otherwise they'd just confine their expression to the body of a canvas.

Sorry for the rant, like the photos and look forward to the series Jimmy.

I like the obey shot in the first series... Here are some shots from Cambridge, Ma. Not sure if these were illegal.
