You're so sweet :)

Pleeeeeeeeeease don't let the project go down, I've enjoyed looking at your entries. The lighting on this one is great - I love how the two sides of your face appear to have two different characters. Whether it's intentional or not, it's well executed :D

I need ideas! It just seems like I'm pointing the camera at myself and shooting(which is a fact for the past 4weeks aside from this one) I'm so "blah!" with it. *sigh*
And thank you so much! (: It was...semi intentional. I wanted the light/dark and well, I just have to do my "famous" smirk"(cause I don't look the best when I'm not doing anything with my mouth) I guess it just kind of worked out that way. haha.

Ahhh you have photographer's block! I don't know whether it's useful, but I find almost all of my ideas and inspiration on flickr. I start by thinking of your locations. Am I motivated to go out and find a local park to shoot at?
If so, I'll search "self portrait park bench" or something similar.
If I buy a new dress I think is cute, I'll quite literally search "girl red dress self portrait studio".
Oh, and I never pack up my gear! Hahaha..messy but if I see it there and my tripod is set up, I will always think to use it.

I would love to see something crazy from you though - have a crack at an alice in wonderland photo or another idea that you love! You'll be surprised at some of the results when you set aside an hour with the mission of getting that "one photo". Seriously Alex, you're good, stop being hard on yourself and have fun

I have serious photographers block! I have ideas, things I want to do, but feel that I lack locations and "costumes". *siiiiigh*
But thanks for the ideas, maybe I'll do something cool soon....maybe. I want to do Alice in Wonderland sooo bad but just don't have a clue what. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!

Check out two groups on flickr for inspiration - 'Alice in Wonderland' & 'Aspects of Alice'. Very simple and effective ideas! I reckon you can nail it once you convince yourself you can :)
Look forward to seeing your next post!

This has really helped me to take more portraits or shots with lighting as well! I thought my missus would be annoyed with light stands and softboxes all over the place, but she just said 'It's cool, like we have our own studio or something'. Bless her :)

Dude....never in a million years. I really don't like all the "holland-y" stuff around here. Tulips, wooden shoes....not really a fan. haha.

You're too kind! I feel like my brain is a coffee bot and its brewing but someone forgot to put the beans in.......(did that sound crazy?)
