Ever since then I have dreamed of someday attaching a white lens to it. Well, two years later, the day has come. And I couldn't be happier. Dreams really do come true ![]() I also realized how much of a "pop" a little saturation boost can give your pictures ![]() pridash wrote in post #10951517 Self-portraits aint always easy!! ...your shot is definitely underexposed though - quite surprising given you were at 1/2 power @ f5.6. What modifier was you using that is sucking up the power?? You can make colours pop in pp once you get the exposure right in the first place. I missed this... Cole | flickr

Very nice!...makes a change from us men posting our ugly faces on here!! Cole_Schmitt wrote in post #10966900 Let's make a toast... I received my XTi in December of 2008. Dreams really do come true ![]() I also realized how much of a "pop" a little saturation boost can give your pictures ![]() I missed this... Anyways, I am using a shoot through umbrella. About the wireless remote; I have one remote and one receiver (one of those eBay package things). So, if I'm using flash, the receiver hooks to the flash which means the remote has to go on the hot shoe of the camera, which I'm sure you already know. What I do to cope with that is set up my camera and stand in front of it, take a number of shots using the wireless remote until I get the focus just right. Put the lens in M, mark my spot on the floor, set up the flash, take a number of practice shots to get the exposure (which I suck at), and then use the camera timer. From there, I adjust the settings as necessary. What I need to do is get another receiver so I can use the remote while using flash. Best advice you're gonna get is to ditch that remote and get yourself a dedicated wireless shutter release - not one which doubles as a flash trigger - and plugs into side of your camera, leaving the hotshoe free for a flash trigger. A cheap one from ebay will do the trick and make your life a heck of lot easier! Pradeep (but most people call me PJ)
