Here's my first real attempt at shooting tethered. I used my nifty fifty at f/3.2 and 3 home depot scoop lights with cheap 100w equivalent compact fluorescent bulbs. I couldn't figure out how to use my remote trigger with live view enabled on the computer, so I watched my reflection in the front element, centered it so the center a/f point would lock on, and shot a ton of pictures to get this result. I had the same problem a while back. Shooting a selfie on my 60D couldn't get the remote shutter to work. Replaced all batteries but still nothing. Everything worked while setting up the camera (I was looking through the viewfinder to make sure it was aimed properly) the remote worked. Hit the live view button, got into place, clicked and notta, zip, nothing. Finally figured it was something I would need to figure out later and shot the selfie (avatar) without live view. Now after your post, I see it is a Canon problem, rather than something I was not doing correctly. I believe the way around this is to use the HDMI port to an external monitor then tether straight into lightroom. I don't have a TV or external monitor, so I just "sprayed and prayed" for this one! -Jayson- my flickr
