Self Portrait Thread II - Post pics!

I can't quite make the photos from this series turn out the way I had envisioned; I can't seem to figure out how to make the red "pop" as much as I'd like without detracting from the clouds and desert scape. Any tips/advice is appreciated!

I personally prefer to use Photomatix Pro; I can make most colors "pop" by isolating and adjusting the color slides.

Like -Duck- said, Photoshop is awesome, but there's a steep learning curve. I cannot, for the life of me, find the time or have the patience to learn it. I am sure someone like -Duck-, with Photoshop or Lightroom experience can get it done.

If you think about this, these images are really 'meta'. Selfie of a photographer taking a selfie while taking a photo. I love it.

Hmmm....I guess I would wonder if the pics posted here are actually self portraits or taken by someone else?

What are you implying? Ever heard of a wireless remote shutter release? My favorite is Vello FreeWave Plus Wireless Remote Shutter Release.

I guess he means it's just unusual for someone to go out with a selfie stick camera, a camera on a tripod, and another camera on a tripod.

You are probably right, but I am used to carry two tripods, two cameras and a pair of lenses. Now imagine carrying my camera gear while riding a motorcycle. I added the selfie stick into the images just a couple of months ago.

I wish I could travel to some epic scenic landscape locations, and shoot self portraits, but travel during a pandemic is risky so I had to play the hand I am dealt. For now, I am only taking photos near me.
