Hi. Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I used 5 lights on the top photo, and 4 lights on the bottom.

This was taken using a remote shutter release (which you can see in my hand, antennae cloned out) during a large family portrait session taken on the beach this past Thanksgiving. I kept clicking away even after we ended and everyone was walking away. I cropped this one out and ended up using it on our Christmas cards.

I like the casual, intimate feeling of it. And my husband *hates* having his photo taken, so getting him smiling an honest smile was a special treat.
