This is my favorite morning hang out. It is an independant coffee shop that roasts it's own beans on site in a beautiful oven. The lovely girl behind the counter is my daughter.

Ha ha what a great use for a Starbucks coffee cup, nice pics too btw. Is the coffee strong and full of flavour, for me it's not worth drinking if it isn't!

On the first 2, maybe it's my eyesight, but nothing seems quite in focus....

However, I am going to give you an A+++ for composition & subject material. Perfect arrangements of what are very busy scenes, especially the 2nd one. I can practically taste that cup of java from the picture :)

Just returned after many years hiatus from this forum. I was a bit of a prat before, if I ever offended you, I'm sorry

Nice photos of a place that looks great!
Would have liked to see more of the interior though, that kind of place should have comfty armchairs of different sorts :)

Best coffee I had was in Vietnam... mmmMM! Could go back there for the coffee alone! :D
Imagine a small cup with some sort of filter on top with grinded beans in it... boiling water poured down in the filter, and then sitting for five minutes waiting for the coffee slowly dripping down in your cup. Have a sip - strong enough to keep your spoon standing in it! Slight chocolate taste to it, just brilliant! Man, I need to go back :)

That's your daughter? You must be really old! I'm 60 and mine's just 3-1/2. That makes you about 75! :-)

Martook, I think that's a Persian recipe.

Skip,

I'm not much of a coffee drinker although I do enjoy a good cup of chai tea.

That does look like an awesome place to sit down and relax with a good motorcycle mag!

That may have been because it was a major crop and even with the phenomenal IS on the 17-85 it is asking a lot at 1/15 second and f/4. All that coffee stats to take it's toll

It does have the arm chairs and old fashioned booths. I don't have any of them in the photos though.
Here is the full photo from wence the crop.
The coffee is every bit as good as you could imagine.
Oh BTW Andy, they do have quite a selection of tea also

The posting sure is a lot fuzzier than the original. Must be the compression :-(

Yeah? Well, I wouldn't know, forgot to ask them.. tasted good anyway ;)
Anyway, it's made of Vietnamese coffee beans of good quality, really wish I could find some around here...

Aah, brilliant! I'll add this to the list of places to visit when I go to the states some day... :)
I've heard horror stories about american coffee (very weak compared to coffee here), so it's good to know you have proper coffee shops.

Hey Martook, see if you can find yourself some 100% Arabica beans, pref' Lavazza' or Vittoria, grind them fresh and use a plunger. Let the bolied water sit for about 30sec then pour over the fresh mix, let sit again for about three minutes then yummo' good coffee. I'm having one right now! Not as good as Espresso but it'l do! \
