Vanguard Up-rise backpack?

Anyone tried the Vanguard Up-rise backpack? How well does the side access work? How comfortable, etc? I don't need to carry a lot of equipment at this time, but I do use canes to walk, so a reliable system that stays in the middle of my back is important. Sliding around to the front sounds cool. Side hanging just isn't an option because of the canes.

I've been talked out of slings from other reviewers in this forum.

I use tow of them the Up-Rise 45 for on the way. Really like this one. And the Up-Rise 48 when I want to take my MacBook Pro with me. The side access works for me...

The only tip I have go to an shop and try them out. Comfort is very personal ;)
