I'm looking for a new bag that can hold everything I have now with room for some extra stuff in the future (another lens or two, flash, etc...). Money is tight and I've been using a small Lowepro bag from when I got my first camera a few years ago, but it's just too small for what I have now. I prefer a backpack style bag, but I'm not totally opposed to a shoulder bag. Something capable of carrying a 15" laptop would be a plus, but not a necessity. I'm trying to stay under $150. Thanks in advance!

I was going to say get the Canon backpack but you wont fit all that in there unless you always keep the body and lens detached. At $40 its the best deal out there, i just got one from Best buy yesterday.

I like the Canon backpack a lot, but like you said, I don't know if it'll hold everything. I keep a lens on one of the bodies, but the other is usually lenseless. I like having both together though for backup and convenience when necessary.

If its wasnt for that extra body you would be able to fit all that no problem, however you will need a pretty big bag or a case for that matter.

Unfortunately I really don't want to lose the extra body. It's come in handy way too many times. I don't mind a somewhat large bag since I'll still have my current small bag for quick trips and such.

Domke F2. Easy to fit and easy to access. But why do you want to carry the cables and chargers in your main camera bag? Either pack 'em in your suitcase or leave 'em at home. You aren't typically going to be stopping during the day and plugging a battery in to recharge.

That's a good point. I've just always been in the habit of having everything together, I never really thought about it.

I have that too, but if he only carries the stuff he really needs, the F2's plenty. And less burden on the shoulder without the extra felgercarb he doesn't really need.

Domke F2.
I'll agree with that.

I got my domke about 2 months ago and it is the best bag I've ever owned and I will probably be a domke customer for life. I'm glad Jon turned me onto their bags. thanks.

Lowepro ProRunner 300 (no lappy) or ProRunner 350 (with lappy) for a backpack.
Tamrac Pro 12 for shoulder bag.

I'd prefer a backpack over a shoulder bag with all of that gear. Check out the Lowepro 400AW and Tamrac Evolution 8. The former is 100 on ebay and the latter is 150.

the domke f-2 can fit these perfectly. move the 4-pocket insert in the middle and put a body on either side. when you get another lens you can fit that 50 and 18-55 in one pocket like i do easily, and the big side pouches will still be unused with what you have now.

Thanks for all the recommendations! The Domke looks awesome, but I think I'm going to check out backpacks first. I really like the Lowepro stuff. I'll see which of these the local camera shop has today and hopefully one of them will be what I need.

Problem with a backpack is working from it . . . If all you do is carry the gear around, it doesn't matter that it's inaccessible on your back. But if you need to change lenses, or dig out the flash, a shoulder bag will be much faster and easier to work with.
