Most of northern Delaware used to be owned by the Dupont family, and now, to supplement their income, they charge you to wander around the old mansions and gardens. The bisecting Brandywine Creek is the region's only really scenic river, since the Delaware is clogged with barges and the Schuylkill is too close to Conshohocken.
