I thought I'd try posting here to see if anyone else has gotten this same error message when trying to calibrate using the Spyder3 Elite. I have researched and researched all day online and I have tried every suggestion that Datacolor gives on it's "website" and I have tried every suggestion I could come across on various forums and message boards.
Here's what happens:
I am all set to calibrate, put the calibrator on the screen over the picture like I'm supposed to, hit continue and it starts reading the colors...it reads red, blue, and green and then starts to read various shades of gray. Halfway through the gray readings, I get an error message pop up that says "Sorry. There has been an error calculating the correction curve." (Error 2)
Then all I can do is click OK and it continues on through the rest of the gray readings and the rest of the calibration. But then it takes me to the page where I'm supposed to be able to click "switch" and see the difference in some pictures between calibrated and un-calibrated. I click switch and there is no difference. I click switch again and I get the same error message. Again, all I can do is click ok. Then I click continue and it tells me I'm all calibrated and ready to go.
But it didn't work!!!! Help ANYONE????
btw, for what's it's worth, this is a dell laptop.
