As some of you are aware, my wife's G10 was taken when we were burgled.. She loved that camera (so did I actually)..

At the end of the week she is flying home to Australia for a 2 week visit.. I asked her when she's back to pick up a G11 for herself.. She has used the G11 as we bought our daughter one but my wife prefers the G10,, she prefers the screen on the G10 to the G11..

I think finding a new G10 will be difficult,, I honestly hope she buys herself a G11;)

Not sure what the purpose of the post is  But, if your asking where to get a replacement G10 then check the classifieds here on POTN, I saw a couple very nice looking G10's for sale very recently.

I think the point is both are very good cameras. Personal preference may vary

Yogestee, tell her not to go to Harvey Norman in Australia to buy one! I just got back from there and this is what they said! "The G11 is a Special item, It will take 1 week to order it in and will cost you $799.00!" Needless to say I walked out laughing at them.

I just picked up a G11 this weekend. I had sold my dSLR setup because, frankly, I didn't want to keep spending money on better lenses, flashes, etc and I wanted a good, versatile all-in-one portable package- the G11 fit the bill better than anything else. Anyway, I had to go to a few stores before I found one at a Best Buy in another town. The salesperson told me I was lucky to get it, since when they are gone they don't know when they will be getting any more. It sounds like a new model is on the way. I don't care personally, I think this camera is terrific
