I got my first dSLR before my son was born and have been loving the challenge and enjoyment. Hope to continue learning and am enjoying reading POTN. Thanks for the education and inspiration!

CUTE kiddo! It does look a little dark and flat but take my advice with a grain of salt because I am no professional! Maybe up the contrast and brighten a little :)

Great eyes :)
Did you just desaturate or do a B&W conversion? His skin looks quite blotchy which could be smoothed out by upping which ever colour channel in applicable (i assume red as all of my kids have red blotches)
but then again it could all be my monitor....

ummm.... a camera and bits which stick to it...

Ooo and a website :)

This was one of my first BW attempts, mostly because the wall behind him doesn't look great for a background. I'll try messing with the contrast/brightness and see what I can come up with, thanks!

I switched it to BW in Lightroom, I've never really tried messing with BW and don't really have much experience with BW photos so it was all a best guess. I'll try messing with the color channels and see what happens, thanks!
