Glad to hear the upgrades are going smoothly. Now if Peke rescue just lets up, I'll be able to upgrade mine tonight :{)#

It went alright...I was half expecting it to have a problem as it sat at 94% for a little longer than I liked. Best thing to do is start the install and walk away from the camera. Don't watch it. It will make you crazy! defordphoto | Celebrating the art of photography®

Sure my computer with "Windows ME" or "Windows 98" "WORKS"... But why would you want to use it, if canon is giving you "Windows XP" for free... Food for thought I am a computer tech...and updating firmware is kinda like updating the BIOS on your motherboard. SAY NO TO SPEC WORK!

I don't seem to have any problems... and finally was there a "1.2.0" etc all the way to 2.0.2, how many updates am I missing?

You are not missing any important upgrades or fixes unless you plan to use remote capture with raw+jpg or get that very expensive wireless file transmitter thing. Kameras, lenses and other stuff

In this case, it took a lot of work and a lot of code to fix a feature that was supposedly already present (External Capture) but which the major (adding WiFi transmitter support) 2.0.0 release broke. In adding the WiFi support, they, of course, needed to include EC support under WiFi. Something in what they added neglected to consider the RAW+JPEG situation, and the extra 4 MB code that entailed. So, if they'd gotten it right in 2.0.0, it would have been closer to 8 MB than 4. Jon

Daniel. 1.1.0 was the last upgrade before 2.0.0, which nominally only added support for the wireless transmitter. 2.0.2 is intended to fix a bug which was introduced in 2.0.0, so if you don't intend to use the wireless transmitter, there's no particular need to upgrade. Of course, this means that when Playboy calls and offers you a chance to shoot, wireless, side-by-side with one of their centerfold shooters, you'll have to turn them down because you don't have wireless. And, so far as we now know (but that's what we thought about 2.0.0 too) 2.0.2 should be smooth. It's shipping in new cameras anyhow. Jon

Ok, so obviously you have no problem using the camera remotely with the EOS Capture app. I'm running 10.4 "Tiger" and I can't get the computer to talk to the 20D (with new firmware). It recognizes that it is attached (icon present in Viewer Utility) but when I click on it or the EOS Capture icon it says it cannot find the camera. Suggestions? -----------
