Portraits of my 5 month old girl with balloons

My wife threw a b-day party for her mom so we had some balloons in the house. Here are a couple of pictures of our baby girl with the balloons. C&C welcome.

her expression in the first one is great :) +1 to the good catchlights too.


40D, 24-70 2.8L :mrgreen:, some other suff too but it hasn't seen the light of day since the 24-70 arrived ;)

These are are both great shots, on top of what everyone else has said, I also like that you got down on her level and brought the balloons down in the background.

Please tell me what lens did you use? I have been wanting to get the 60mm for some time now, just had other lens's that I needed first. That is next on my list of wants...

Thanks for all the comments. It is my first time taking pictures of the baby with my new OCF setup using a softbox umbrella. I wish I had my $4.00 white foam-board reflector for fill, but I left it in my buddys car after a outdoor shoot.

I shot these with the 60mm. It is just what I needed for this type of work and I'm glad I made this purchase. I bought this lens mainly for portraits so the macro is an extra bonus.
