Sweet pics! I attended my first R/C air show event last weekend. Was invited up to the front to take pics as well.

Most event organizers are quite happy to see someone with good gear show up, and with a little bit of communication a lot of them will give flight line access as long as you stay back a bit so pilots still have a full view of their plane. I always make a point of sharing my albums with the clubs so that's another good way to get better access, and after a few events I was always welcome at any event held locally. It's now the 3rd summer of shooting them & I pretty much know all of the club presidents / organizers from the clubs within a 120 mile radius.
Re the Mustang it's too bad the winds weren't from the opposite direction because the other side of the plane has few clues that it's not the real thing. That cylinder head sticks out just enough to catch the eye, and after a second look you know something's up.

Awesome shots there were a couple I thought was real! bw!

The first two look 1:1 scale!

Those planes are quick and hard to shoot! Great job!

Thanks again. To anyone in the Kingston Ontario area there is a fun fly on the 21 & 22 that I'll be shooting again this year, and if the weather is good Saturday will be the busier day.

This field has the spectator area close enough to the flight line that there are very good photo ops plus the sun is at your back offering the best lighting for photos. Spectators are welcome, and there's no charge to attend. Good weather draws a lot of pilots so here's hoping. Photos from last years event are here.
