I just got it and I love it. I'm a fashionable kinda guy, so ideally, I wanted a backpack that looked somewhat "cool" and disguised.

There are a few bags that I think look great, but a lot of them still look like a photo bag to me. Not a bad thing, just not what I was looking for. A reason I went against the national geographic line even though I think that line is as classy as it gets.

I tried the expedition 7x and it was too bulky for me. I'm only 5'8 and a measly 135 pounds. It felt like I had a table on my back. This bag, actually just feels like a school backpack.

The Dakine Mission Photo Backpack is a little more hip I'd say and definitely stealth.

As a professional, I thought it might look too young, but I think it's fine. My clients hire me on my skills anyway and not what I'm wearing.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share a few photos since when I was researching the bag, it was hard to come across non product images.

*note: I was concerned it wouldn't fit my 5d2 gripped, but it's perfect.

Looks like a good pack, although the color you chose does seem to give off a "young" vibe. Personally, I'd go with either the "bomber" style or the straight up black. Might have to pick one up once I have money again...

The blue tint is definitely poppin' more in the photo than in real life. It's more of a gray-blue and the lining is darker than the image shows.

Against all black, it blends nicely.

My fault on the processing.

Does it have any room for a hydration bladder?

It should, probably where you'd put a laptop

whoa. that fits a lot.

i noticed there are belt straps on the bag. could you tuck them in when not in use? also, hows the tripod carry? i saw on the website there was a third pair of straps on the bottom part of the bag but i didnt see any on your review. do you have to buy them separately or do they come with the bag?

nice review! :)

the Dakine sequence backpack has a zipper on top for quick access to your camera, does this bag have that as well?

You can't tuck them in but they aren't cumbersome and I hardly notice them hanging there. Haven't tried to carry my tripod yet, but it's similar to other bags, so I'm sure it's the same feel.

I've been searching for a good bag, and you've pretty much sold me on this one. Do you think it'd be a good fit for the stuff in my signature (the bodies are gripped) and a few little extras? It seems like everything would fit based on your photos.

Fits my 5dmkII gripped like a glove.

Is the laptop compartment up against your back?

I'm slightly regretting buying my Pro runner 350AW now i've seen this thread!

It doesn't have a specific laptop compartment, but the front pocket can hold my 13" MacBook fine.

I'd encourage you to add to your review after you've had this and used it for a month or more.

Whenever I see "I just got this and I love it" I know that we are talking about a bag while it's still in it's perceived "perfect" stage.

Yeah, I was planning to do a review. I've taken it on a mini vacation already and it held up great, but I plan on putting it through its paces in the next few weeks.
