And in person, because of the distance from it, it does appear "small" but his picture definitely creates a whole different perspective Canon PowerShot SX40HS

Viva-photography wrote in post #10622084 over the top, but very cool Mount rushmore looks way smaller than i pictured it. It's a combination of where he took the shot from and the focal length. There is still a pretty good distance between the people and the base of the mountain. It is a lot bigger than this image makes it appear.
