so i am about to print a photo for my mom on one of the 60 inch plotter i have available at school, i was just wondering how the hell i can frame it. we want it to be a borderless frame, not the traditional wooden frame. i've seen images that have been sandwiched between glass and some type of foam board type material. since it's soo big, a traditional frame can't keep it from bubbling. any suggestions?

a nice option would be a gallery wrap, there is a lot of places that can do that type of work for you.

Flush mount on masonite or foam core.

The 3m (or other brand) spray adhesives work well. Make sure to pick up a roller to smooth out any bubbles.

Well, I would leave something that size to a professional. I always preferred archival mounting tissue and press with heat but there are spray on dry mounts you could try. If you're not using black foam core or are using masonite you will need to blacken the edges.

Allen. Did you ever use the 3m tissue with the encapsulated glue? It allowed you to position the work, then roll it breaking the glue bubbles. It worked well, but I dont know if that technology is still available.

Have you researched the print and ink life coming from that particular plotter? I've worked with plotters in the past and from what I recall the print life is nothing close to the print life you get from a lot of the photo paper that is available. By no means am I telling not to do, you should but just thought I would throw that in there so you will know what to expect.
