Let's talk filter holders.

Has anyone used any on the 14? Is there even anything that will fit at this stage? Do the Lee SW150 ones fit?

I've read all the reviews, and all say filters are a no-go. Apparently some of these 14mms have holders for gels on the mount? You could always hold a filter in front with your hand and crop inside :D

Has anyone actually tried using the SW150?

^^^ a motel that has both rooms AND telephones? Sign me up!

I see no distortions in the last two images... were they both corrected with the previously mentioned program?

Lightroom 3 :)

Do you have the receipt for adding this lens to LR3?
I have tried everything but it's not showing up.
It's a pain to leave LR just for lens correction

I did it two days ago and my mind is already blanking out a bit.

download the file here:LINK (external link)

And save it into the folder shown on that link.

I did have to open the code in a text editor, and there is one "False" value in the entire code.. change it to true.

I then had to use it once in photoshop before it would show up in lightroom. now it shows up at the bottom of my canon lenses in lightroom :)

Thanks now it works in CS5 under filters but comes up as unable to load lens profile in ACR and LR3

Yeah I have given up on using profiles in PTLens or Lightroom as PTLens only gives you lenses to choose from that match the EXIF focal length (50mm shows up when you have no chip) and I do not have Photoshop so I can't make LR recognize.

Mine will just have to be manual just like the lens.

In PTlens you can use more than one focal if you uncheck "Detect lens" in the Options.

Thanks. Yeah the first is on a long pole and the second attached with a super clamp to my roll bar.

I really really want to find a way to get some ND filters on this lens so I can shoot rigs during the day. Would it be possible to use a rear filter? Someone suggested it in another thread but I have no experience with them. Short of that, I'm going to duct tape a filter to the front of the lens... :p

You mean a gel? Sure, just pop one in the holder on the mount... the lens does have a square-type bracket holder on the mount, right? :D
