I think the lens has some major field curvature. Most of this image is sharp, however the right side is really soft:  Not really golden golden hour by charlie617, on FlickrI've used this lens plenty, and cant explain it any other way. Usually, I stop down, so not an issue, however, this shot is wide open. Generally, the lens is very sharp, fantastic for landscapes. I've skipped the typical ultrawide zoom in favor of this prime, I just jump right to 28-70 or 24-105.
