Just picked up the lens and loving it so far. Unfortunately I'm better with a camera than I am with a computer… What's the simplest way to install a lens correction profile for lightroom 5? On a Mac. I've found profiles to download, and it tells me to save them to "/Users/[your user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/", but I don't know how to get them there, if that makes sense.

I bought this lens for an Astrophotography class I'm taking in April, so I took it out to the Austin Astronomical Society's open night to test it out coupled with my Skywatcher Star Adventurer. The scene isn't terribly inspiring, but I was just trying to work on the technical aspects of shooting at night.

Unbelievably stunning images. One of the best captured auroras I've ever seen.

I was nervous about manual focus for real life scenarios; the focus scale on my copy seems to be bang on, I've been really happy with it. Decided it was too cold to test it with the stars tonight, so nothing to show but snapshots.

there seems to be an excesive amount of noise in those shots for iso 800. maybe because of your pp in trying to get details in the shadow. dont be afraid to go to iso 6400 and 30 sec with the 6d + sammy 14 combo. :)

great shots for such a light polluted zone!

This is the first time I am trying to shoot the stars. Next time, will go for high ISO and try different variations. Thanks for the suggestion.
