I was thinking about getting or renting a 10-18mm. But, after looking at this thread, I think the 14mm is going to be my choice. I prefer primes anyway. Lens looks like too much fun! Beach trip coming in August too! Great shots everyone!

Great shots everyone! if you have a crop body you might want to consider the Samyang/Rokinon 10 f/2.8 which has the newer coating and is made for crop body cameras (APS-C), the 14 will not be that wide on your 20D 5D III | 5Dsr | TS-E 24 f/3.5L II | EF 35 f/1.4L USM | EF 135 f/2L USM | EF 85 f/1.2L II USM | EF 85 f/1.8 USM | Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM | Rokinon 14 f/2.8 | Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 2/100 ZE

And compared to the only lens I have(a 50mm) it will seem VERY wide to me! Compare to 50mm??? are you kidding? believe me, even my 16mm lens on 16-35 that i sold isn't as wide as this 14mm, and you say 50mm??? I hope you will like that UWA focal length if you didn't test/use it before, and be careful of the distortion and don't lower it so much then your feet may get in the images, it is closer to be a fisheye lens. With a 3rd child here now, a move, and job change, having a DSLR is on an extreme budget now. In the past I had a 5DII and a few lenses. Now, not so much, but still would rather have this beater 20D than a P&S or tablet/phone. All in with the 20D, 50mm, and now a 14mm I've spent like $325.00 Works for me
