Is anyone here considering the XP 14mm 2.4? It seems intriguing, but a bit expensive at $999.

i am definitively keeping an eye on it, i suspect that the IQ will be outstanding but i will wait for some reviews and real world examples before making a decision. i am also interested in the Venus Optics 12mm which is about the same cost.

I noticed mine has a very slight decentering/tilted element when I was taking milky way shots, but I don't think it's enough to bother me, not enough to return it anyway. I usually crop some of the edges in 90% of the shots.

I just got the lens and my first impression is that it's very VERY sharp, I expected some sharpness but I almost cut my eye from the crispy sharp detail of a well focused image. Needed a wide angle in my lens kit, very excited.
