I need a black and a white, although 20 feet may be a little on the long side,

Or there is just this and I could get the stand separately, all of them say will not fade, so what do you pay for when you get more expensive? I just want something that attracts the least animal hair possible:

If you don't do full body shots, you may want to look at this:

Setting up and taking down takes mere seconds, and the whole thing collapses to a 60 cm (2 ft) round package.

See the black will be used for couples/maternity, so for the b&w backgrounds I will need the bigger such as 10x13, too bad they don't have those in pink! I talked to my client, that pink is too dark, I think finding a light pink is going to be nearly impossible :(

How about if you just overexpose the background a bit? A bit of creative lighting can bring out unexpected qualities in both your subject and your background.

Plus it may not even come as dark as I thought, looks can be deceiving on the computer. See I was going to get that 5x7 but I need something on the floor as well. I may just order it and just edit it in PP the best I can and make it a bit lighter.

Better try to get it right in camera though; a pink background may be hard to select in PP against skin tones.

So you're saying overexpose the whole image? And then correct that in PP?

No because you'd still have to PP the BG and your subject separately, and thus still have make a selection of the background.

Instead, just light the background separately from your subject and brighten it up about 0.5 to 1 stop. This works best with two lights with umbrellas or softboxes on opposite sides and slightly behind your subject, to ensure an even illumination.

Or you can deliberately light just a portion of the background to get a gradient from bright in the center to dark on the outside. This works best with a single light fitted with a snoot or grid spot.

Or use a white background and gently light it with a strobe fitted with a red gel, which would also turn it pink.

See, lighting is fun. :D

Hmmmm, only issue that may arise is that I only have two lights lol. I have been seriously considering getting a third.

You could always add a reflector as your fill light and use the 2nd flash for the background.

If you do go with the muslin, 20 feet is actually nice to have. It's one of those things you don't have to have but it's a life saver when you get in the right situation.
