These are specatacular shots of one of the most amazing fighters!

I have to admit,.. when the title said Hungarian Migs,. I did not expect one of the newer (relatively) types. somehow I expected an older classic fighter like the 21....

They really are great photos!

WOW! These things look like a set of wings and a cockpit mounted on a couple HUGE engines! Nice shots. :D

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Thanks all! They're really great to see flying - they're replacing them with Saab Gripens soon though (not quite sure of time scales). It'll be a shame when they're gone!
There was a couple of MiG 21's (from Romania & Croatia?) at the show, but they didn't display. There was a museum nearby we went to the day before the show with some older MiG's in (15, 17, 19, 21, 23) & I got to sit in a '21! I'll post some pics when I've sorted them out!

Excellent shots. I think that first one would have been a contender for last month's "heat" contest.

One question, did you take these with the 70-200/2.8L and a 1.4x extender?

Great shots, wish that some migs would be at an airshow here in the US I could go to so I could try my hand in capturing them with my rebel.

so that the enemy pilot would have a hard time telling which way that they are turning from a distance...

Superb series of images. The second one looks as if it could have been taken air-to-air.

Yes - these were all taken with the extender. The second is cropped a bit, the third is cropped a bit more (and isn't very sharp, but I like the shot), the other 2 are full frame.
