Hi, i was at the racetrack today when after around 2hours my Cam went Awire,it came up with the "Error 30" in the Display and i saw the Blinking Battery Symbol which ended up in sending the Cam in for Repairs last time and i thought Please not again, not now!
For some time i made a clown of myself Removing batteries and checking my Lens and TC for Dirt on the Contacts, putting everything back together taking 3 shot and Staring allover again,i googled the Error and it said i might have a Shutter Problem, anybody else had this Issue? thanks for any Advice

My 7D has about 60,000 clicks and just started giving me Error 30 if I use Liveview a lot. Apparently Liveview opens the shutter more than is usual and it can cause the shutter to stick.

I read on various forums that the way to fix this is to smack your camera around a little because Error 30 usually means a stuck shutter curtain. They also suggest firing off a few high speed bursts at 8fps to lubricate and free up the shutter blades.

I did all those things and IT WORKS! ( I have posted this in three old threads so it will turn up if someone is searching out error 30)
