Just got my first 'real' camera ...tips?

Last thing: Don't forget to ask opinions from people who don't know anything about photography. They might say, "wow, that's a great picture," while some photographers won't like your work. Photographers have a different perspective.

FUN is the most important thing with anything you do. Have fun.

Tips: Avoid camera/lens specific threads. Focus more on getting out and practicing photography.

Oh I plan on taking lots of pictures. Mainly of my dogs and computer equipment to help get down the basics. Plus I need to learn how to shoot the computer equipment for my reviews.

Once I get those down then I will be figuring out how to take action sports pictures. Judo to be more specific. Since I compete on saturdays at the big national tournaments I have all sunday to take pictures

So I will have plenty of shots for the people willing to critique them

camera just got here ... now just waiting on the lens to get here probably wednesday.
