Welcome to POTN;)

For fish in the tank, you need to get as close as possible to avoid flash kickback....and focus...set the ISO at 400 or better.

I like it but would have preferred a less steep angle.

Thanks for the feedback. I did not know how to avoid the flash kickback. I'm learning photography, so I was shooting in auto until I feel confortable. Can you set ISO in auto mode?

I don't understand, how does shooting in Auto make you comfortable? The only way to get "comfortable" with your camera and the technical side of photography in general is to learn! That means doing a lot of reading or taking a course or whatever you need to do learn what it takes to capture your image and have in look the way you want it to look. And then you need to take what you learned and experiment with your camera until you know how each setting adjustment effects your image. That's how you get "comfortable" with your camera, not shooting in Auto.
Stop using Auto, at the very least start off shooting in P (Program) which is the same as Auto except you can change you settings (aperture, shutter speed, ISO & flash control etc...) for each shot.

I think you have a good start. Add a touch of contrast and sharpen it and it'll be good.

Sorry - I did mean in Program mode, that shows you how much I know about photography. I understand what you're saying though, and appreciate your feedback. Cheers!
