Removing Sun Flare

i have a shot that i took and i love it, only thing, is that its got a huge sunflare on the head.

What are some good tips on removing it?

I'm no expert, but that flare on the side of the guys face looks perfectly circular. You can try making a circular marquee the same size and do a bit of levels or brightness/contrast adjustments to make it match the rest

i don't have a clue how to fix it but it sure looks like it's going to be difficult.


Canon 5D3, Canon XTI (IR converted), 24-70 f2.8L, 16-35 f4L, 50 1.4, 70-200 f2.8L, 100 2.8 macro, 430 ex & 580 exII speedlights.

Quick edit of the RAW image. Could make a few more improvements but you get the idea. Just some color balance changes and burning/contrast adjustment.
