Hello POTN: NOOB to this forum..

Hello there.

I'm new to this forum, I've been over at NSOP (www.NewSchoolofPhotogr​aphy.com) for quite a while now and have been reading a lot about this forum so I figured it was time for me to come this way and sign up.

I bought a Canon T2i just after it's launch date earlier this year. Had to drive up a few counties in order to find one in stock. I didn't want to wait a month for them to get restocked from the online retailers that I normally buy from. Since I've had it I've made a lot of progress from not knowing a damn thing... lol. Now at least I can turn out some decent/good photos. It's a constant improvement battle to one up myself each time...

I've also got a good bit of other gear now as well:
Canon 430ex II
Vivtar 283 (modified for manual control)
Canon EF 70-300 IS USM
Sigma 30mm / Dirty 30
kit lens (still need to replace that one with a 17-50 f2.8 as soon as I can)
Cactus V4 Trigger and a couple receivers (these work great for me, never have missfires).
I'd also love to get my hands on a 70-200 f2.8 IS USM as well but that one is probably going to have to wait a little while, lol.

I've also got some various cheap light stand/poles with both strobe heads and CFL heads.

Other than that, I'm just looking forward to reading and learning and maybe if I'm lucky finding some local events for photography.

I live in Southwest Florida, near Fort Myers, Florida.
