Sorry but I think that comparisson is bogus.

I can see why you would think that, it does a really good job with shadows, but I get similar results also. If you go on the strobella website and look at their test shots as well you get the same sort of reduction in harsh shadows.

I might dig around my computer to see If I can find some more of my old test shots...

If these were 4 different shots, there would at least be very minute movement with your father.

Sorry but I think that comparisson is bogus.

well... what you think is wrong... cause... "i was there" and he didn't move. there is a small variation in images, but you have to look for it, not just assume. but your starting point is "its fake", so... i guess you find what you are looking for. ;)

But of course...

oh, sorry. this obviously make the picture fake. next time i will keep the files to be able to prove to people that i'm not a liar, so i can sleep at night.

A little small in comparison.

yeap. is small, that why is bad. but i have it, so, i wanted to test.

How much experience do you have with real ringflashes ?

The RF give you shadowless less light due to the fact the lens is centered inside the light, the hard shadow edge is still there...

not much. i didn't even have one.

Obviously for me its not a option at all.

for me is. i got it "just to test", as is so cheap, and see the results. and was very good for me.

obviously, the main problem here looks like personal choices. looks like some people don't like it, and instead of just let people that like it use it, they prefer to say that it does not work, and test photos are fake.

luckily, i don't care about these people. ;)
