Hi,

Flying of to the UK tomorrow and I have been trying to access this above site that was mentioned here a few times. Cant get to it for some reason so can some kind soul condense the info so I can degest it before getting on the plane.

I have the basic sunny 16 info but hope to be armed with more knowledge before I get onto those moors.

Check the histogram and watch for blown out highlights. What you want is to have the histogram display as much data in the highlight range as possible without blowing the highlights out. I think your 350D works the same as the 20D. In the 20D I have it set to display the histogram along with the image in the LCD after each shot. The image will flash if there are blown highlights. Your 350D should have the same function.

Don't shoot slower than your focal length for handheld shots. For example, 1/40 is too slow to handhold with a 85mm focal length. 1/60 is better, but 1/100 would be ideal, if conditions allow.

you don't have any real long zooms or primes, but you still want to pay attention to your shutter speed on the longer end of your 17-85.

Sunny 16 doesn't work in the UK. It's the whole sun issue really. If it was "overcast with a chance of rain 8" you may be onto something.
