Hi there,
On the last day of July the Moon and Jupiter were in conjunction, the former sitting 6 degrees directly below our Moon.
Here are a few shots taken with a 7D through a 70-200mm f/2.8 Sigma and a 150mm f/5 reflector Newt. telescope. Information about the shots is embedded in the photos. You will notice that there are two parasitic images of the Moon in the photo showing the conjunction: they probably come from my UV-cut filter on my lens, it often creates reflections when the source of light is particularly bright. I've exposed differently for the Moon and for Jupiter but I've left the reflections.. I find them pretty.
My Stellarium is very choppy lately, but it shows me Uranus was not far away from Jupiter that night - I'll hunt for it in my pictures and maybe add a bonus
Enjoy
