Do you shoot film?

If so what type, on what types of subjects and why? My daughter took over my photography business a couple of years ago and never really shot anything except digital. She told me she wanted to shoot some "film" sometime for fun. I pulled out my old Canon Elan II put her 85mm on it and gave it to her. Told her take take a a shot and feel the difference in how the shutter feels. She did, and as I was expecting, immediately looked at the back of the camera and for a brief second looked real confused, it was absolutely priceless.
She follows several photographers blogs that are shooting film again as well as digital.
I was just wondering if anyone else is doing the same.

I still use film when I shoot architecture. It's a medium that lends itself well to that kind of shooting for me. My d-slr is a crop format, so the 35mm frame gives me a lot more room to breathe in a claustrophobic city setting.

I switched from digital to film; I like the process better, plus, in general, I still prefer film over digital for black & white.

I pretty much only shoot film in black and white, in 35mm and medium format. I can process and print it myself very easily. Sometimes I shoot some cheap color film for the hell of it, but I normally use digital for that.

I really like to shoot with slide film and project it at home. IT is far more better than digital projection (and cheaper).

I use film with landscapes and some portraits. Usually for anything which doesn´t involve action or movement. If I have to shoot a game I do it with my XSI.

Fuji Porta gives me better color accuracy than JPEGs from my XSI.

Still shoot film, just not a lot anymore.

I still shoot the odd roll of Fuji Velvia for landscapes.

I guess I'm a hybrid because I'll scan them for general use but I have been known to drag out a projector when I want to see them with the proper amount of "pop."

I wish I could afford a projector for my MF slides...

My film bodies are mothballed in case I ever get the urge to shoot film again, but I doubt that will happen.

I shoot quite a bit of film...have some pretty sweet cameras...currently shooting with my Canon AE-1 Program and a 1954 Voigtlander Vito B. I also have several other AE-1/AE-1Ps, a Canon Canonet 28, just finished a roll in my Ansco Anscoset, have a couple of Zenit Soviet cameras, and a few I never shoot with...a Biauma B-1 toy camera I'll run some free expired film through, a Kodak disc camera, and a friend of mine just said that he'll let me have his Canon T90 for free if I promise to give the old girl a bit of time outside of a dusty closet

I inherited a Kodak carousell projector and silvered screen from my folks.

I shoot a few rolls of T-Max 400 every month or so and occasionally some Fuji Superia 400 for fun. Subject wise I'll shoot pretty much the same thing I would with digital - it just provides a different perspective.

i try and shoot as much film as possible. i just got a holga and i love the outcomes. been experimenting with ilfords 3200 film and with the "lack of control" you get with the holga, the end result is pretty sweet. subject wise, anything goes. the holga goes where i go but with only 12 shots per 120 roll you get a little picky.
