i was out with my friend taking pictures of this vacant mental hospital when this caught my eye. the place is said to have spirits in it. i'm not a firm believer in the "ghost world" but i wondered what you all think about this photo? i doesnt look like any type of sensor dust or dust caught by the flash because it seems to have a halo around it. opinions are appreciated :)

It's a reflection of the flash off something in the air or on the ground in the distance. See the hexagon shape? That's from the leaves in your Aperture diaphragm.

This happens quite often with wide angle lenses. Some of them really get weird and look like spaceships going hyperlight. Here's one I got with my Tokina 12-24 when I tried some night time shots. :)

No he's not crazy, just adventurous, he's got one up on me, I'd never do that!

I don't believe in ghosts, but I believe there are people who think they see them. I visit a mental health forum, and there are a lot of people that see them. They aren't crazy (if they were they wouldn't be on a mental health forum trying to help each other). They know it's not normal, but to them it's as real as can be. They know it's probably just in their mind, but they definitely saw something that freaked them out.

Personally I've never had the fortune or misfortune to see a ghost.

Thank you. bw!

That's an orb and they have been photographed before. Nice capture. Here is a book on orbs by some scientists.

This is a great book on the subject. Personally I have 25 years of spiritual studies and 30 years of engineering. I can fully attest to life after death from my own personal experience. Ghosts are not only real they are a living consciousness without material form. Rather than get into a debate I invite you to do the research for yourself ... or not.

Here are some other phenomenon that I witnessed several weeks ago. While the video camera cannot come close to what we saw I will state that this sighting was nothing short of completely spectacular.

I am one of the people whooping it up at this sighting. I have been to Eceti twice and every time something really amazing happens. Some incredibly intense personal phenomenal experiences.

I also dialog with spirits on a daily basis (and most likely you do to if you engage in conversation with your thoughts). Where do you think dreams come from? I have done the research and am preparing to write about my experiences over the last 25 years.

Where do you think dreams come from?

I dream all night, every night and remember them when I wake up. I know damn well where mine come from. It's the drugs they have me on for high blood pressure. Mine started when the drugs started. Before that, I had the normal type of dream everyone else has, triggered by events of my day or something in the past, the usual defragging of any computational device that gets clogged with data. It's nothing mystical.

There are no alien space craft buggering around our night skies. If there were such a thing, they would be buggering around our daytime skies, where no one would ever notice them. Think of the distances between stars, the time involved for even light to travel those distances. If aliens were to travel that far, would they keep their arrival a secret? And as you should well know, with all the wonderful recording equipment out there in everyones hands these days, then why is there not one single, in focus, properly exposed image of a single space craft? Ever? The whole idea is preposterous and millions of people sadly in need of help are just fooling themselves.

I also have undeniable proof that there is no life after death. From the day of the first mumbo jumbo witchdoctor that found he could stay in the cave in relative comfort and tell lies while the other men of the tribe had to risk life and limb in the hunt, to the fully modern televangelist liar of today, no one has ever shown there to be a real, viable, living proof of any god, devil or any other ghostly invisible friend or foe that more than one person at a time could see or communicate with, ever. Puleeese. Does anyone really doubt that if there were a god, everyone would be able to see it and agree on what they saw. Not just a few here and there, but everyone? The fact is, the truth is, no. The fact is, the truth is, we are here, alone. Make the best of it. When you die, you blink out and nothing else, ever, happens. No offense, but I have released myself from the mumbo jumbo and it's a whole other world on this side of the lies. ;)

I appreciate your opinion it is held by many around the world. It doesn't change my information one iota and simply reflects the lack of research you and the many others fail to engage in. Major clinical studies at the turn on the 20th century provided substantial evaluation of psychic phenomenon which is still in print though refuted by modern day behaviouralists who can only acknowledge life from a physical POV. As far as flying saucers I guess you would have had to been standing at that hill top the day I and 2 other buddies saw one hover over our heads. Nearly soiled ourselves we did and it killed the buzz we were going for. You're right that never happened nor do I hear voices and spirit is a myth.

For dreaming consider the notion of mental induction or ... just where did that great idea come from?

That's pretty humorous. You keep on following whatever it is you're following.

The fact that nobody, including the billions of people who have lived and died since man invented gods has ever shown there is one. Sheese, what's it take for you? You gotta die to prove it? ;)

Perhaps that's why it's called faith.

I call it wishful thinking. Neither of which are proof.

The only difference between you and me is, you have an invisible friend and I don't.
