Hi all,

Managed to get out to Brandon Marsh nature reserve (I think a few of you guys must go there), and was fortunate enough to find a Kingfisher as soon as we went into the hatch! My 7d did a great job of catching the little guy, and it's my first time I've even seen one, let alone have the chance to get some photos (and even some video), so very excited.

He was very patient with me; waited for me to get my camera, posed for a few photos and then went and got a snack from the lake (which was crazy to watch), waited a bit more for some more photos and then gobbled up, a bit more a photo call and then off back home.

Let me know what you think!

Lucky you, some of us only dream about this bird. Beautiful shot....you might think about taking some off the top or the bottom for a better composition. That would take the branch out of the center of the photo, which tends to cut the image in half. My take anyway. Beautiful bird you have there, any more photos?

Agree with ajosteve about the composition, but this is a awesome shot of a cool looking bird.
