I assisted my brother on his and my first experience as wedding photographers one week ago. The bride and groom were very easy going and wanted several fun shots. I took this one while she was focused on my brother. I added a white vignette to bring out her face. Does this work? I was going for a nostalgic feel. Any C&C is greatly appreciated!

I don't think this works at all. Blown highlights, badly done vignette. Look at her right arm... it looks like she has a disease. You can't see half of the detail in the dress and the flowers are all blown out too. I wouldn't keep it.

Thanks for the feedback! This is why I was asking. It's the only one from the wedding that looks like this and appreciate honest opinions.

No worries, you will get better in time. Just make sure to keep shooting.

I agree with all of this.

I can appreciate going for a nostalgic look but recreating a bad photo trick from 1993 doesn't count as nostalgia for me. :)

I am super cool n' stuff.
