Re-loaded all my software and took the opportunity to update all the drivers etc as I went so some good came out of it. Plugged in my ipod, installed iTunes and got the same registry failure BSOD crash error. Plugged the iPod into the laptop, which has the same version of iTunes and all is fine???? Re-installed the Ipod software on the desktop and now both work???? Go figure. Haha, you can count on apple to destroy you windows installation!

Its a pain but with the number of crap software installed/uninstalled plus spy ware/viruses it just makes sense.

Not really... if you don't install a lot of crappy software, stay away from Internet Explorer and have a decent firewall appliance, you'll do just fine anyway.

And why not, it's much more fun to play solitaire anyway than to actually work. /Petra Hall

He was so scared of installing anything on it and I was cheering him on, holding hands, but it wasn't until his desktop PC crashed that he actually got up the nerve to start using it. Now he's in heaven (and I bet anyone would be in heaven when they have a working computer, regardless what OS they run). /Petra Hall

So that means that us Mac users has to install applications and therefor fall out of that category of computer users. It's hard work to install Eric's Ulitmate Solitaire!! /Petra Hall
