I think this is the right section to post this ...

I was just curious what type of fonts you use for your watermarks?
I am not a professional nor will I ever be so something just flashy I can tag them with would be more my style ... I have seen some pretty nice watermaks on photos around here, but I just wanted to hear what everything thinks ...

I'm a firm believer in the easier to read fonts are always best. Tahoma, Verdana, Arial... and similar styled fonts. I don't like to get too fancy with the logos/watermarks because then they get to the point where they are unrecognizable. that's one of the first rules about logo design. Needs to be easily understood.

Also proportioning and everything else along those lines is major as well...

I completely agree. When I meant flashy I didn't mean something you would have to focus on for 10 minutes to figure out what it says. I meant it more along the lines of the way it would be setup. Like Matts for example I would consider that flashy and very nicely put together. Not just the basic ... (name) | Photography ... type setup.

I'd suggest you go to some of the Photo Sharing sections and browse, find a logo/type/watermark that you like, and ask what was used. Specialized sections like weddings or sports might have a good variety.

Well, here is a question for you. Is there any particular symbol, character, or image out there that you particularly like...

By character I mean cartoon character, a text in a certain font... A drawing or symbol that you feel represents you as a person.... or just something that you like....

Find something like and would want to work with or on and maybe we can help you develop it into something that screams you.

I like that idea ... I will try and come up with something and see if we can make it better.
