What have I done! Just spent the most on a single lens i own. More than what i paid for my 24-70, 16-35 or my 135L. And its a focal length that i already covered, twice ! lol

I hope this lens is as good as it's meant to be...Holy Trinity and all that! (2 out of 3 now !)

p.s. I bought it because during weddings receptions i keep wanting something wider than my 50/1,4 and faster than my 16-35L. So the logic points to the 35L.

This lens is it. I hope.

very nice. simply consider this practice for when you complete your zoom trinity with a 70-200 f/2.8 mkII. :p

You will be happy with the 35 L. It pretty much stays on my 5D II during wedding receptions.

Still around the 35L...would you use 24L to achive 35mm perspective on 1.6x crop?

Congrats on the lens! I recently received mine and it hasn't left the camera.

It would get you close - about 38 mm right? Might as well check out the Sigma 30 1.4 though. Awesome little lens for crop at a fraction of the cost of the 24L.

This probably will be my next new lens .. Just done with all my lens budget after buying the 70-200 2.8 IS II last week. So, need to save up a little. Hope there is a mark II in the upcoming annoucement. I do want weather seal on mark II if there is one, and will be happier if I can see less distortion (pretty small already) plus more sharpness at 1.4 tho it's very sharp already.
