After my last big trip where I took a Peli 1510 and it caused me a bit of trouble with weight. :o Earache off the wife aswell, Im sure we've all been there ;)

For this trip Im considering something lighter to start with but of course it has to be the right size as well for the hand luggage.

My final choice is between the following two:

Thinktank Antidote V2

Thinktank Acceleration V2

I would love to here how youve got on with either of these on your travelling experiences, eg did you get through check in, do they fit in overhead lockers on planes ok etc.

After looking at your gear list, may I suggest the TT Airport Takeoff? It has wheels with the addition of the backpack style that make this bag more attractive.

I've been using the Antidote for traveling, and it has worked pretty well. It has fit under seats in puddle jumpers, and overhead in any normal jet. I typically carry one body, four lenses, a flash, accessories (batteries, chargers, filters, etc.), 15" laptop, and laptop accessories. If you have to walk or stand for hours on end, then this is not the bag for you, as the suspension system is really not equipped to efficiently distribute the load. However, if you're using it mostly for its intended purpose of carrying your gear through the airport, it performs excellently and is reasonably comfortable for short periods of time.

Edit: The reason I chose this bag over a wheeled version is because I typically travel with a large wheeled bag that I check in, and hate fumbling with dragging two wheeled bags behind me.
