I shot this classic aircraft over the weekend with my XT/kit lens combo. It was nice seeing one of these again.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there when the plane landed so the static shots had to do, but it was still a blast being that close to one of the few remaining of these aircraft.

I hear yah Thorrulz, sometimes you takes what yah gets, and being there is all part of the fun -
they are great shots of a surviving, classic WW2 bomber ! :cool:

I am thankful I wasn't the one with a can of Magic Wadding given the task of polishing that aircraft. That was more than a little cleanup to get that old girl so shiney. Nice shots of an old warhorse

Sentimental Journey belongs to the Arizona Wing of the CAF.

She recently underwent a very aggressive shop period after which she came out gleaming like a mirror. Best she's looked in years.
