not that I have a dslr w/ vid yet... or do I know that I plan to... but I do know that if I do... I'd definitely want to use this... infact stumbling across this program made me WANT to give vid a try just to play w/ the program! LOL  ya... I'm a little weird like that...

take a look.

Lore, that plug in doesn't work with Photoshop.

I'm basically wondering if there's any reason to get Photoshop CS5 Extended or just go with the regular version.

You can do some video editing, but it's basic IMHO. If you're serious about video you should get a good non-linear video editor. Adobe Premier Elements is excellent for the money.

I use it all the time for stills but vertyrarely for video. The only times I use it for video is when I need to add something frame by frame and I expect there are better ways to do that.

If you want something basic and dead simple...(and a Hell of a lot less expensive) get Pinnacle Ultimate Suite.
As already mentioned, Premier Elements will be more useful.

I use regular CS5 for generating GFX (still) as the text generators in ALL NLE's are crap. I have never run across a title tool that can keep up. If I want to animate it it goes to After Efects.

First step........ Take the lens cap off.

Thanks for the help, everyone. Looks like the Extended version is of no value to me.

FYI, I ordered Photoshop and Lightroom 3 yesterday afternoon and they were just delivered! I'm impressed!
