Thinking about printing these - any PP suggestions before I do?

You wanted parts of the flower in #1 to be blown out? Aside from that I'd probably crop to 10x8 to get rid of the dead space to the left of the OOF stem.

#2 doesn't do much for me, but if you like it go ahead and print it.

#1: the main subject - whitish flower - is too blown to see any detail on the petals. I would try another shot at it if I were you before wasting paper and ink.

#2 has an interesting pattern but something does not seem right about the composition = distribution of elements and open spaces in the total of the image. Try a different angle, a different DOF... experiment a little more before deciding to print.

numero uno: def looks a little blown out, make you can play around with the curves or perhaps the exposure.Try to duplicate the top layer and isolate the flower, mess around with the curves or exposure on it and then do an opacity on just the flower, see if it will give it more of a clarity <<~ just a thought

numero dos: you are missing something to the left, retake it if possible or photoshop something in there hmm let me think...hmmm..>>ahhh yes>> The Travelocity Gnome :D

Get out and shoot
