I haven't shot so many frames in a day to exhaust a battery yet, so I'm curious how many shots do people get in the field from a 1D4 + a fully charged LP-E4.

Published specs says: "The Mark IV takes the same Lithium Ion LP-E4 battery (11.1V, 2300 mAh) as the Mark III, which is rated at 1500 shots according to CIPA standards."

Aside from number of shots, additional info like use of LCD review, Live View, etc. would be appreciated.

TIA,

Romy

One time I shoot fashion week and I got 4500+ from one LP-E4 !

During the shoot I don't freq review LCD, only sometimes. Therefore I believe review photos on LCD will use up lots battery power....

That's an impressive number!

Is there any noticeable slow down of AF speed or burst rate when the battery level gets very low?

That pro-rates to 4000+ shots total..... very similar to the first response. Thanks for the info!
