This is an interesting web site . . . PhotoShop blending of historical images from WWII blended into contemporary photos of the same scene. Some of the "blending" is somewhat crude, but I thought the idea was interesting . . .

That's really, really, cool...

Discovery Channel does that with fading from old film footage to modern day with some of their programs ("Unsolved History" is one).

It is a very extensive web site, where the webmaster researches photos of Germany in WWII and then matches them with a contempory photo from the very same spot. Plenty of progressive photos durring periods after the war as well. Very entertaining . . .
