Hey guys,

I've a problem with my XTi + 17-85.

Seems that the lens is giving me an Err99 everytime I shoot with it and the aperture gets locked; needs to turn off and on the camera, remove the lens and put it back in.

Also the camera is giving me some backfocusing.

I live in Dominican Republic and theres no Canon Repair Center here therefore If i want to get that repaired i need to get it over to Miami, Panama or NYC.

Do you guys know if I can send it over by fedex or ups or do I need to go myself personally?!

Just mail it in. Why would you think Canon needs you to hand-deliver it? Us folks in the USA aren't driving to NJ/CA/VA with our stuff. We just box it up and send it on its way :)

um. He isn't in the US.
That's the problem he is having.

I would call the Canon Support first and confirm that they can send it camera and lens back with/without customs.
