Thanks Flores
My biggest object of light pollution is a street light about 600' away. I can usually block it out behind a tree or shrub, depending on where in the sky I'm looking.

Nice for a single image.
Exposure was probably too long as the stars near the corners have trails and the milky way section is a little blurry. Noise is there too not sure how it will hold on a big print.
But as a start its really good!

Forgive this stupid question, but to the naked eye, what does it look like?

It looks somewhat like a cloud, all the colors come out in post processing.
On dark nights you can see the outlines of the formation quite well.
Thanks for asking.

This is very nice but looks like you softened it too much with the Noise tool . Can you post an unedited image for comparison ?
