Great review! I've a question... Lets say I don't want to use the R10 as a camera bag, but as an everyday bag, can it fit A4 papers and/or a macbook 13"? Assuming I take out the dividers and all that...

p.s. that bird doing a low flypast at 4min was cute ^^

I'd say that if you buy it with the intent of using it for a non camera bag, I'd look at bags designed more for that purpose. I don't think it would make a very good briefcase.

you can pull all the interior dividers out, including the bottom, so whatever they list the interior dimensions as is the space you'll have. It's be good for text books but if it's not filled there would be too much space and things would move around a lot. But for 3~4 big text books for school it could be perfect.

Agree. But for justification purposes for my parents to help a bit with the purchase, I always find that "dual purpose" reasoning is the best (: i.e. school + photography.

R10 internal:
30.5 x 24 x 15.2 cm

MB 13" laptop:
32 x 22.7 x 2.4 cm

Possible? 32 cm "stretching" into 30.5cm

Ah, parental management technique. Got it.

Interior measurements are your guide. They're accurate.

Hehe, i like how you phrase it :)

1.5 cm shouldn't be much of a problem for 'stretching', i hope...

Headshotzx, You may look at the new Domke F-832 for an all purpose bag. I believe the 832 or 833 can hold a laptop and camera.

Who loves TT? This guy, that's who! I got an email from them today, they got a shipment of UD70 inserts in finally and will be sending me some for my R10. :D

Also, they liked my review, and are passing the critiques on to the design team.

I have to say, I sorta disagree with your point about the thickness of the strap. If it were thin like a seatbelt it would tend to cut into the skin. I think it's a comfort thing. Also it twists less (did you mention this? I forgot.).

For me at least the weight of the strap isn't as important as it feeling comfortable on my body and not twisting all the time. Of course YMMV.

the strap pad takes care of any cutting into you doesn't it? And the thicker strap gets twisted up just as much as my other bags w/o swivels. My old TTUD30 had thinner straps and swivels and I had ZERO problems with it. This bag has a thicker wider strap that similar in comfort but weighs probably twice as much? Oh, and it's shorter.

IMHO it's not as good as the straps they put ON THEIR OTHER BAGS... The pad is fantastic though, especially the rubber grippers. It's a good strap, but it could be better.

I never liked swivels. This wider and thicker strap is simple to untwist.

I wish it did have a curved pad, but it's not a big thing and that would eliminate the ambidextrous nature of the bag.

yeah, and I think that goes to show it's all about personal preference and they can't make us all happy with ONE design. I do wish they could make a strap like this, but removable (like crumpler does?) then also give us a D-ring that velcros onto the same place with the option of a swivel strap? They could sell it as an add on accessory, but it could work well for those who like it one way over another?

Got my TT retro10 today, first impression = awesome bag! Now I only have one slight problem, how to set it up. Anyone got any tips how to fit a 7D(gripped) with 24-105, a 70-200/2.8, my future UWA (prob tokina 12-24 or sigma 10-20) and a 430ex flash.

Any advice appriciated!

Greeting from Sweden!
